Michael Joseph Austin

Michael Joseph Austin, 22, of Bloomsburg, passed away early Saturday morning, November 26, 2022, at home.

Born in Camp Hill, PA, July 26, 2000, he was the son of John M. Austin, II., Bloomsburg; and Shannon (Sersch) Austin, Camp Hill; and spent the past year in Bloomsburg, after moving from Camp Hill.

Michael was a Laborer for the Dollar Tree Warehouse, Berwick; and had previously worked at the Amazon Fulfillment Center, Carlisle. He was a member of the Bloomsburg Elks Post #436, Bloomsburg.  Mike enjoyed Fantasy Football, playing golf, video games, and Dungeons & Dragons, listening to music, trips to New York, and occasionally singing.  He was an avid fan of the New York Giants, and Mets.  

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents John and Louanne Sersch.

Surviving in addition to his parents are two siblings, Christopher Austin and Alexandra "Allie" Austin, both of Camp Hill; paternal grandparents John M. Austin, Sr. and wife Carol, Bloomsburg; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, and his cat Pepper.

His funeral will be held Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at 8 pm from Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc. (West), 1265 Rock Glen Road, Rock Glen. Interment will take place privately at the family's convenience.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6 PM until the time of the service.
