Michael G. Felegie Sr., 90, of Fern Glen, passed away late Saturday evening, February 8, 2025, at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Hazleton, following a brief illness.
Born in Fern Glen, April 15, 1934, he was the son of the late Michael and Anna (Lawrence) Felegie and spent most of his life in Fern Glen.
Michael was a proud US Army Veteran, serving from 1956-1959 during the Korean War. He was an Electrical Maintenance Mechanic for Consolidated Cigar Corp, Berwick and McAdoo, owner/partner of Village Electric and Felegie's Electric and in his retirement, he worked part time for Enterprise Car Rental. He was a member of St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church, Sheppton. He was also a life member of Black Creek Sportsman's Club, a member of The Beaver Township Historical Society, he also was a DJ as "The Nightowls", and a scuba diver with "Mt. City Scuba Divers" that aided in rescue and recovery for the Pennsylvania State Police.
He was preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by his loving wife of 55 years, the former Martha Bolinsky, who passed away November 28, 2014, 2 brother-in-law's Joseph Bolinsky and Reno Lorenzi and 2 sister-in-law's Michele Bolinsky and Mary Ann Lorenzi.
Surviving are a son, Michael G. Felegie, Jr. and his companion Lorraine Gubala, Fern Glen; two brothers, James Felegie and wife Gloria, Fern Glen and Tarone Felegie and wife Cindy, Weston; a grandson, Dilon Felegie, WV; great-grandson, Paiden; two step grandsons Christopher Schlauch and wife Tanya, Ringtown and Matthew Schlauch and companion Breanna, Ringtown; 5 step great-grandchildren; brother-in-law James Bolinsky and 2 sister-in-law's Connie Bolinsky and Marie Bolinsky and several nieces and nephews.
The Office of Christian Burial will be held Friday, February 14, 2025, at 11 AM in St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church, 14 East Oak Street, Sheppton. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart RC Cemetery, Weston. Friends may call at Harman Funeral Home and Crematory Inc. (West), 1265 Rock Glen Rd., Rock Glen on Friday morning from 9:15 AM - 10:15 AM.
