Maryann Elizabeth (Stanalonis) Magill, 70, of Oneida, passed away Sunday, October 11, 2020 at her home following a sudden illness.
Born in Hazleton, PA, May 24, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Vincent and Mary (Rusnak) Stanalonis and spent the past 10 years in Oneida, after moving from Sheppton.
When Maryanne graduated from High School in 1968, she was crowned Miss West Hazleton. She graduated from Penn State in 1972 with a BA in social work. She prepared pastries for a number of restaurants while living in Bucks County. She retired this year after many years working as a designer at Smith's Floral, West Hazleton. Maryanne enjoyed cooking, gardening, crossword puzzles, the outdoors and classical music. She loved the many cats she rescued over the years. Kind and beautiful, she will be missed by all that knew her.
Surviving are her husband of 46 years Andrew F. Magill, Jr. who has loved her since they were in high school together; sister Jane Smith and her husband James, Albrightsville; brother John Stanalonis and his wife Patricia, Albuquerque, NM; and many nieces and nephews.
Due to COVID-19, there will be no public reception. A private funeral service will be held for the immediate family and a reception for friends and relatives will be held at a future date. Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc. (East), 669 W. Butler Drive, Drums, assisted the family with cremation.
