Mary M. (Marticelli) Visintainer

Mary M. Visintainer, 97, formerly of Drums, passed away Thursday morning, October 12, 2023, at her home where she lived with her daughter and her family in Harrisburg.  

 Born in Freeland, February 9, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Frank A. and Carmela (DiSpirito) Marticelli and spent the past ten years in Harrisburg after moving from Drums. 

 Mary graduated from Freeland High School and the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. Mary was an administrative assistant in government and broadcasting in Washington DC and Philadelphia.  She was also a loving wife, mother, and homemaker.  She was a member of Good Shepherd Roman Catholic Church, Drums and the church's Alter and Rosary Society.  Mary was President of MMI Prep Ladies Axillary in 1985 while her daughter was a student there.  

Family meant everything to Mary.  She adored attending her children's and grandchildren's sporting events, never missing a home game.  She would love to have her children's friends over and entertain and spoil them.  She was a fantastic cook and baker and always had exceptional Sunday meals for her loved ones.

 She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her loving husband Adolph J. Visintainer who passed away April 24, 2005; and a brother Joseph Marticelli. 

 Surviving are two children, Joseph A. Visintainer and wife Suzy, Dallas, TX and Karen V. Cattabiani and husband Mario, Harrisburg; four grandchildren, Kyle and Katie Visintainer, both of Dallas, TX; and Mario and Alex Cattabiani both of Harrisburg; and numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. 

 Her funeral will be held Monday, October 16, 2023, at 10:30 AM from Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc. (East), 669 W. Butler Drive, Drums, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM in Good Shepherd Roman Catholic Church, Drums. Burial will follow in Calvary RC Cemetery, Drums. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday morning from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM.
