Marie (Poncheri) Goetsch

Marie Goetsch, 76, of Hazle Twp., passed away Tuesday morning, August 13, 2024, at Mountain City Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Hazle Township, following a lengthy illness.

Born in Hazleton, February 17, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Franklin and Edith (Malfatti) Poncheri and spent the past 6 years in Hazle Twp, after moving from Fern Glen.

Marie was a self-employed beautician and salon owner.  She was a member of Sacred Heart RC Church, Weston. She also enjoyed traveling with her husband Tommy.

She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her loving husband, Thomas H. Goetsch who passed away April 19, 2006.

Surviving are a son, Matthew Karmonick and his wife Cheryl, Hazle Township; and a sister, Barbara Wolk, Sheppton. 4 Grandchildren Justin Karmonick and Fiancee Melanie Pollack, Brandon Karmonick and his wife Lacey, Kyle Karmonick and his wife Carli, and Ashley Karmonick,  3 Great Grandchildren Gianna, Matteo, and Kashton, and several nieces and nephews.

All services will be held privately at the convenience of her family.  Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc. (West), 1265 Rock Glen Road, Rock Glen assisted the family with the arrangements.
