Margaret Ann Poltrock, 65, of Sheppton, passed away Saturday afternoon, July 12, 2025, at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, following a sudden illness.
Born in Hazleton, November 29, 1959, she was the daughter of the late John and Frances Marie (Cherico) Benko and had spent the past seven years in Sheppton, after moving from Beech Mountain.
Margaret was a 1977 graduate of Hazleton High School. She had worked alongside her husband as a restaurant manager for many years at the Stage Coach Inn and owned and operated their own restaurant, the Sea Lion, both in Drums. She was a member of the Catholic Faith. Margaret adored caring for her beloved cats and dog; they brought her much joy and happiness throughout her time with them.
She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her husband, James H. Poltrock, who passed away December 5, 2012; and a brother, Nicholas Benko.
Surviving are her daughter, Melissa Maley and her husband Joseph, Foundryville; two grandchildren, Alexander and Nicholas Maley, at home; brother, John Benko, McAdoo; sister, Gloria Reese and husband James, Hometown; brother, Michael Benko and his wife Anita, Sugarloaf; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Her funeral will be held privately at the convenience of her family. Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc. (East), 669 W. Butler Drive, Drums, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
