Obituary

Letty Christine Senger, 90, of Drums, passed away early Sunday morning, February 20, 2022 at Providence Place Retirement Community in Drums.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, January 8, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Olga (Martinsen) Egland and graduated High School and Secretarial School in Brooklyn.  She resided and lived half her life in Staten Island, NY until her marriage in 1980 to her husband George J. Senger, Sr. where they resided in Ridgewood, NJ.

Letty was a Retired HR Bank Officer for JPMorgan Chase Bank in NYC which was formally known as Chemical Bank.  She was an active member and Executive Board Secretary of the Ridgewood Women's Club.  She enjoyed traveling to Europe, Scandinavia and the Caribbean.  She and her husband initially moved to a retirement community in Ocean County, NJ and then to Spring Hill, FL where she was a member of the Brooksville Women's Club, and was very active as their Executive Secretary until 2006.  

She decided to join her step-son George, Jr. and his wife Joyce living in their home in Murphy, NC.  She returned back north with them to Drums, PA to be closer to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren in New Jersey.  She had a deep love for all animals, especially the family dog Blu.

She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her loving husband, George J. Senger, Sr. who passed away in September 1995.

Surviving are her loving family, a step-son George J. Senger, Jr. and his wife Joyce, Drums; three grandsons George J. Senger, III. and his wife Elizabeth, Bloomfield, NJ; Michael Senger and his wife Briana, Toms River, NJ and Matthew Senger and his wife Jessica, Charlotte, NC; six great-grandchildren, Madeline, Gabriel, Sophia, Gavin, Declan and Lyla; and cousins in New York, South Carolina and California.

Her funeral will be held privately at the convenience of the family in Florida Hills Memorial Gardens, Spring Hill, FL.  Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc. (East), 669 W. Butler Drive, Drums, assisted the family with the cremation.
