Leo M. "Jimmy" Drasher, 86, of Drums, passed away Thursday, August 26, 2021 at Fritzingertown Senior Living Community, Drums, following a one-year battle with cancer.
Born in Drums, September 15, 1934, he was the son of the late Milton and Anna (Yeager) Drasher and spent his entire life in Drums.
Leo was a US Marine Corps Veteran of the Korean War, and member of the Drums American Legion Post #795. He had worked as a saw operator for General Foam and also as a butcher for Hazle Park Meats. He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Saint Johns. He enjoyed all types of hunting and spending time at his cabin in Huntington County. He was also an avid reader.
He was preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by two brothers Charles and Robert.
Surviving are his wife of the past 32 years, the former Lucy Ankudovich; five sisters Lucille Siegfried, Elkton, MD; Ruth Lowe, North East, MD; Shirley Drasher, Saint Johns; Dorothy George and her husband Frank, Hazleton; and Susan Lasecki and her husband Richard, Drums; three brothers Leonard, Elkton, MD; Alvin, Drums; and John and his wife Florence, Fern Glen; and many nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held Monday at 11 am from Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc (East) 669 W. Butler Drive, Drums. Burial will follow in St. Johns Lutheran and UCC Cemetery, Saint Johns. Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday afternoon 3-5 pm.
