Kathleen Ferdinand, 87, of Drums, passed away Wednesday afternoon, December 29, 2021 at her home, following a lengthy illness.
Born in Hazleton, July 1, 1934, she was the daughter of the late George and Anna (Moore) Bzdil, Sr. and spent the past 61 years in Drums, after moving from Freeland.
Kathleen was a Homemaker for most of her life and enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was a member of Good Shepherd RC Church, Drums.
She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her husband, Robert Ferdinand, Sr. who passed away December 24. 1978; a grandson Jude Pastorella, March 13, 2007; and a brother George Bzdil, Jr.
Surviving are five children Gail Robbins and her husband Robert; Robert Ferdinand and his wife Angela; John Ferdinand; Kathryn Pastorella and her husband Richard; and Noelle Lowery and her husband Roland, all of Drums; eight grandchildren Jino Zambotti; Nicholas, Cera, Lucas, and Aiden Ferdinand; Maria Pastorella; Joshua and Justin Lowery; three great-grandchildren Joseph, Natalee, and Nico Zambotti; and several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held Monday, January 3, 2021, at 11 am with a Mass of Christian Burial in Good Shepherd RC Church, 87 S. Hunter Highway, Drums. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Drums. Friends may call at the church, Monday morning from 10 am until the time of the Mass.
