Joyce A. Sacco formerly of Sugarloaf and Kelayres, passed away on April 5 at her home in the Villages Florida following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Hazleton on November 8,1953, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Victoria (Krusinski) Yakubisin. In addition to her parents and many aunts and uncles, Joyce was preceded in death by her beloved husband, George, who passed away on November 4, 2020.
Joyce is survived by her sister and brother in law, Mary Ann and George Pennington, Kelayres. She also leaves behind many cousins and godchild, Luke Bartlinski, King of Prussia.
Joyce was a graduate of Hazleton High School, class of 1971. Upon graduating, she worked for the law firm Laputka, Bayless, Ecker and Cohn being Attorney Bayless' legal secretary. Prior to retiring, Joyce worked at the Falvello and Slusser Law firms.
Joyce's memory will be cherished by her 'girls' in Florida and her many friends she had here in Pennsylvania. She was a past member of the Valley Country Club, Conyngham; and the Sugarbabes Golf League in Sugarloaf.
Her funeral will be held with a Memorial Service on Sunday, June 4, 2023 at 3 pm from Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory, (East) 669 West Butler Drive, Drums. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon from 1:30 PM until the time of the service.
