Joseph Goetsch

Joseph Goetsch, 71, of Hazle Township, passed away early Tuesday morning, August 22, 2023, at Tremont Health and Rehabilitation Center in Tremont, following an extended illness. 

Born in Hazleton, March 12, 1952, he was the son of the late Henry and Catherine (Suskie) Goetsch and spent most of his life in Hazle Township. 

Joseph was a self-employed truck driver for many local trucking companies. He enjoyed working on cars, trucks, motorcycles, and heavy equipment.  He liked spending his time riding his motorcycle and watching old western movies.

He was preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by a brother, Thomas H. Goetsch, who passed away April 19, 2006; and a sister, Mary C. DeLuca who passed away May 19, 2006. 

Surviving are two nephews, Brian J. DeLuca and his wife Donna, Drums; and John H. DeLuca, Hazle Twp. 

His funeral will be held Monday, August 28, 2023, at 9:30 AM from Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc. (East) 669 W. Butler Drive, Drums, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in Good Shepherd RC Church, 87 S Hunter Hwy, Drums.  Burial will follow in Calvary RC Cemetery, Drums. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday evening, from 5 PM to 7 PM.
