Joseph T. Brutosky, 67, of Sugarloaf Township, passed away Saturday afternoon, June 11, 2022 comfortably at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Hazleton, October 26, 1954, he was the son of Joyce (Kraska) Brutosky, Sugarloaf Township, and the late Thomas Brutosky He was a 1972 graduate of West Hazleton High School, and took home study classes towards his profession.
Joseph was a self-employed Land Surveyor and Professional Engineer for 28 years. He was a member of St. John Bosco RC Church, Sugarloaf. He loved to gamble, with his wife, at Mount Airy Casino, loved watching sports especially the Phillies and Eagles, loved playing golf, and enjoyed hunting and camping and being outdoors.
Surviving in addition to his mother, are his wife, of the past 46 years, Donna (Kistulentz) Brutosky; his daughter Melissa Moran, her husband Shaun, and their children Jacob and Lillian, Sugarloaf Township; three sisters Elizabeth Brutosky; Denise Sterenchock and her husband Thomas; and Jacqueline Podlaski and her husband Frank, all of Sugarloaf Township; a brother Jeffery Brutosky; two nephews David Ferko and his wife Sarah; and Alex Sterenchock and his wife Crystal; a niece Megan Sterenchock and her wife Jocelyn; and his rescue dog Pugsly.
His funeral will be held Wednesday at 9:30 am from Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc. (East) 669 W. Butler Drive, Drums, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. John Bosco RC Church, 573 State Route 93, Sugarloaf. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart RC Cemetery, Weston. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday evening 6-8 PM. A Christian Wake Service will be held Tuesday evening.
