John "Johnny" J. Rabbitz, Jr., 44, of Sugarloaf Township, passed away Tuesday evening, January 21, 2025, at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Hazleton.
Born in Hazleton, April 18, 1980, he was the son of John J. Rabbitz, Sr. and his wife Diane (Berger), Hazleton; and Angela (Begole) Rabbitz, Hazleton; and spent the past 24 years in Sugarloaf, after moving from Hazleton.
John was a Staff Sergeant for the United States Army having worked in Unit Supply. He joined the Army in September of 2009. John liked taking trips to Lake Wallenpaupack, listening to music, riding his motorcycle, playing ice hockey, he was a huge fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, Phillies and Flyers and loved hanging out with friends. His greatest joy was spending time with his three daughters, they meant the world to him.
Surviving in addition to his parents, are his three beloved daughters, Giavanna, Milaney and Saylor Rabbitz and their mother, Nicole Rabbitz; all of Sugarloaf; a sister, Rebecca Rabbitz, Sheppton; a brother, Paul Rabbitz, Hazleton; two nieces, Camryn Rabbitz, and Evelyn Aquino, and a nephew, Kian Leonard, all of Sheppton.
His funeral will be held Monday, February 3, 2025 at 11 AM from Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc. (East), 669 W. Butler Drive, Drums. Burial will follow in Black Creek United Methodist Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday evening from 5 PM to 8 PM.
