John Thomas Romaine, 72, of Sugarloaf, passed away Tuesday afternoon, April 12, 2022, at his residence following a short illness.
Born in Oakland, NJ, March 17, 1950, he was the son of the late John and Anna (Sheehan) Romaine and spent the past 27 years in Sugarloaf, after moving from Monroe, New York.
John was a Serviceperson for the United States Military. He was a Marines Corps veteran during the Vietnam Conflict from 1969 - 1973 where he was awarded a Purple Heart; a US Army veteran from 1982 -1987 and had served in the US Army National Guard before his active duty in the Army and after. He was a member of the Disabled American Vets and loved going to car shows with his baby, a 1984 Pontiac Fiero.
Surviving are his loving wife, Mariann J. Migneco to whom he was married on November 15, 1981; two daughters Geri Lynn Kerr and husband Jeremey, Simpsonville, SC; and Shannon Romaine and boyfriend Anthony Carrono; Hanover Township; two grandsons Aaron and David Kerr; a sister Linda Braun, NJ; a brother Don Romaine; FL; and many in-laws, nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held with a Graveside Memorial Service on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at 2:30 PM at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, 60 Indiantown Gap Rd., Annville. Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc. (East), 669 W. Butler Drive, Drums is assisting the family with the arrangements.
