Jessica Megan Gualtier, 40, and Jason Patrick Meyer, 45, passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2022, as the result of a tragic car accident.
Jessica was born in Hazleton, February 28, 1982, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Erin (Fogarty) Gualtier. She was also the granddaughter of the late Joseph and Agnes Gualtier.
Jason was born in Pottsville, August 2, 1976, he was the son of June (Murphy) Stefan, St. Clair; and his father the late Dale E. Meyer and stepfather Joseph P. Stefan.
Jessica was a loving mother and homemaker. Her greatest accomplishments in life were her children. Jessica was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her children Jason and Phoebe and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her big family of sisters and brother and every one of her many nieces and nephews. She had a vivacious personality and always made people around her laugh. She made friends everywhere she went. When she entered a room, everyone knew it. She had the biggest heart and the feistiest soul.
Jason graduated from Pottsville High School, class of 1994, and attended Penn State University. He was an Executive Manager for Verizon Precision Wireless for 8 years. He went on to help found and partner Clean+Sober Living in Absecon, NJ. He was well liked and very much admired for his financial wisdom and getting companies to move forward. Jason will be missed by everyone but no one more than his mother.
Surviving are their two children Jason Daniel and Phoebe Elizabeth Meyer.
Jessica is also survived by two sisters Leighann Gualtier, and her love Daryl Smith, Freeland; and Erin Gualtier and her love Chris Molinaro, Hazle Twp.; a brother Eddie Gualtier and fiancée Samantha Medina, Freeland; and many nieces and nephews she loved and adored.
Jason is also survived, in addition to his mother June by a sister Shannon Meyer-Newell, Galloway, NJ; stepbrother Joseph Stefan; and two very special nieces Haley and Kori Meyer.
Their combined funeral will be held with a Memorial Service on Saturday, May 21, 2022, at 1 PM from Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc. (East), 669 W. Butler Drive, Drums. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday afternoon from 12 PM until the time of the service. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
