Jeffrey Allen Neefe, 61, of Fern Glen, passed away unexpectedly early Friday morning, March 21, 2025, at his residence in Fern Glen.
Born in Hazleton, August 18, 1963, he was the son of the late Cecil and Catherine (Jefferson) Neefe and spent the past five years in Fern Glen, after moving from Drums.
Jeffrey graduated from Hazleton High School. He was employed as a Forklift Operator for Hantover, Inc. in Humboldt and was previously employed at Visintainer Nursery, Drums. Jeffrey loved spending time outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. His greatest joy was helping others. Jeff met his girlfriend Kim Kelchner in 2008. He loved Kim's children and grandchildren and considered them all his own. He and Kim were together for 17 years.
Surviving are his companion, Kim Kelchner, Fern Glen; her five children, Sam Kelchner and his wife Sheena, Conyngham; and their daughter, Scarlett; Adam Kelchner and his wife Pam, Drums; and their children, Alex, Bryn, Jacob, and Hope; Michael Kelchner and his companion Sabrina Vought, and their daughter, Shelby, Danville; Amber and her companion John Weaver, Fern Glen; and Matthew Kelchner and wife Kristina, Sugarloaf, and their children, Eve and Austin.
His funeral will be held privately at the convenience of his family. Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc. (East), 669 West Butler Drive, Drums, is assisting with the arrangements.
