Jean Lowery, 86, of Drums, passed away early Saturday morning, October 25, 2025, at her residence, following a sudden illness.
Born in Drums, October 14, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Darwin W. and Laura V. (Houseknecht) Siegfried and had spent most of her life in Drums.
Jean was a graduate of West Hazleton High School. She was employed as a seamstress for many local garment factories including Sadock's Factory in Sybertsville. She attended Conyngham United Methodist Church. Jean had a fantastic sense of humor, loved gardening, playing the piano, bowling, and was a proficient herbalist.
She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her loving husband, Roland L. "Fuzzy" Lowery, Sr. who passed away February 19, 2018; three brothers, Darwin "Bill", Charles and George Siegfried; and four sisters, Emma Sharbaugh, Marjorie Kemper, Gloria Gardy, and Alma Casner.
Surviving are four children, Roland L., Jr. and wife Noelle, Drums; Keith D. and wife Diane, Drums; Duane S. and wife MaryAnn, Zion Grove; and Lynette J. Cherenyock and husband Peter, Hazle Twp; 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Richard Siegfried and wife Janet, Easton; a sister, Alice Hunter, Berwick; and many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held with a Memorial Service on Friday, October 31, 2025, at 11 AM from Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc. (East), 669 W. Butler Dr, Drums. Interment will take place privately at the convenience of her family. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday morning from 10 to 11AM.
