Janet Sarah (Hinderliter) Keller passed peacefully on Thursday, October 31, 2024, from a recent illness after enduring years of multiple health complications. Janet was born in Hazleton on June 29, 1945 to William Franklin Hinderliter and Beatrice Viola (Lutz) Hinderliter. She spent her entire life in Rock Glen.
She was preceded in death by both her father and mother, her husband Byron Thomas Keller, and her sister Nancy Eleanor (Lutz) Gibbons.
Surviving are her daughter Melissa Marie (Keller) Gottstein and son-in-law Jeremy John Gottstein, Rock Glen, as well as several nephews, nieces, and cousins.
She took pride in her cooking and homemaking. She enjoyed genealogy, coloring, and shopping with her friends. Over her life, she loved the company of all the family pets.
She enjoyed singing hymns while attending church and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She had made many friends while attending and serving in various capacities within the Church over the years, sharing her love for the Savior with all.
In her younger years, she was employed as a Nurse's Aide at the Berwick Hospital. Later, she began employment as a Personal Care Aide at the former Morton House/Zack's Rock Glen Manor until she retired in 2008.
Her life was tirelessly devoted to her faith, family, and friends. With love and compassion, she found joy in blessing the lives of others.
Her funeral will be held Thursday, November 7, 2024, at 11 AM from Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc. (West), 1265 Rock Glen Road, Rock Glen. Burial will follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 10 AM until the time of the service.
