Jane A. (Mensinger) Pleban

Jane A. Pleban, 93, of Goodyear, AZ, passed away Sunday morning October 23, 2022 at Gwee Comfort Assisted Living in Phoenix, AZ.

Born in Nuremberg, October 17, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Marion (McGlynn) Mensinger and spent the past 10 years in Goodyear, after residing in Mt. Top for 20 years and Sugarloaf prior.

Jane was the Postmaster for the Sugarloaf Post office for 20 years having served from 1970 to 1990.  She was a member of Saint Paul's Lutheran Church, Mt. Top.  She was also a member of The Order of the Eastern Star, Mayflower Chapter #107, the National League of Postmasters and the National Association of Postmasters. In her earlier years she was a 4H Leader and took pride in sewing her own clothing. Jane enjoyed reading, socializing, playing pinochle and poker, computer games and preserving newspaper clippings for her loved ones.  Her greatest joy was spending time with her great-granddaughter Abby.

She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her loving husband of 54 years, Walter Pleban who passed away March 16, 2002; and a brother William Mensinger.

Surviving are her daughter Nancy Porreca and husband Anthony, Goodyear, AZ; granddaughter Kimberly O'Donnell and husband Jeffrey, Surprise, AZ; great-granddaughter Abygayle Jayne; and many nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be held Monday, October 31, 2022 at 10:30 AM from Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc. (East), 669 W. Butler Drive, Drums. Burial will follow in Nuremberg Cemetery, Zion Grove.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday, from 5PM to 7 PM.
