Following a brief illness, Jacqueline Rae Hoats, 72, of Zion Grove, passed away Tuesday morning, January 19, 2021 at home with her loving family at her side.
Born in Hazleton, November 6, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Evelyn (Mummey) Croll and had spent her entire life in Zion Grove.
Jackie was a Machine Operator for Exopack, Humbolt. She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Nuremberg. She was also a member of American Legion Post #699, Nuremberg, and the Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed spending her time reading, gardening and cooking.
She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her companion Lowell Ulshafer who passed away December 6. 2016; and a brother Gary Croll.
Surviving are three children, Arthur Hoats, Jr. and his wife Debra, Warrior Run; Kelly Singley, Zion Grove; and Jodi Hoats, Zion Grove; companion, Dennis Johns, Zion Grove; three sisters, Linda Mankiewicz and her husband Alfred, Zion Grove; Cynthia McGuire and her husband James, Zion Grove; and Julie Grimes and her husband Robert, Micanopy, FL. She is also survived by six grandchildren – Leah Serafin, Ashley, Todd Jr. and Cheyenne Singley, Marissa and Shane Hoffman along with several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc. (West), 1265 Rock Glen Rd., Rock Glen, is assisting the family with arrangements.
