Gloria J. Gardy, 87, of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2020, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center in Wilkes Barre, following a lengthy illness.
Born in Sugarloaf, September 19, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Darwin and Laura (Houseknecht) Siegfried and spent her time between Phoenix and Drums.
Gloria was a Mechanic for Container Corp., Shuttle, and Gulf, all of North Wales. She was a member of Conyngham United Methodist Church, Conyngham. She had a green thumb and enjoyed gardening, flowers, cooking and riding in the sidecar of her husband's motorcycle. She was a hard worker and a great mother to her children.
She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by two children, Wade Gardy and Sharon Waterman, brothers William, Sonny, and George, and a sister Emma.
Surviving are her loving husband, Anthony Gardy to whom she was married on January 29, 1951, in Charleston, SC; son Bruce Gardy and his wife Columbia, Pottstown; daughter Deborah Pancoast, Kalispell, MT; 8 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, three sisters Alma Casner, Berwick; Jean Lowery, Drums; and Alice Hunter and her husband Bill, Berwick; a brother Richard Siegfried and his wife Janet, Wilson Borough; several nieces and nephews.
No services are being held at this time. Any future services may be announced. Harman Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. (East), 669 W. Butler Drive, Drums is assisting the family.
