Georgie L. Volosin, 81, of Easton, has gone home to the Lord on Sunday evening, September 3, 2023, at St. Luke's University Hospital in Bethlehem, following a brief illness.
Born in Hazleton, May 26, 1942, she was the daughter of the late George and Rita L. (Formolo) Volosin and spent the past 23 years in Easton, after moving from Sellersville.
Georgie received her associate degree from Beaver College and was a Senior Legal Analyst with Aventis, Bridgewater, NJ; for over 20 years, having retired in 2004. Georgie traveled extensively with her company, which was a liaison of the US government. She set up the plan to provide plasma to the troops of Desert Storm and was awarded a bonus from the company along with a photograph taken with the company CEO and a US General, of which she was extremely proud. She was an avid and experienced gardener like her mom, adored her many dogs, and loved classical music and dancing. She was extremely outgoing and always the life of the party.
Surviving are a sister, Judith Vale, Wilmington, DE; many cousins, including Kevin Mumie and his wife Michele, Weatherly; and an uncle Neal Formolo, Tampa FL.
Her funeral will be held with a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at 10 AM in Sacred Heart RC Church, 554 Main St, Weston. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday morning from 9 AM until the time of the Mass.
