Frank "Uncle Frank" Ventoso, 90, of Sugarloaf, passed away early Saturday morning December 11, 2021 at Fritzingertown Senior Living Community in Drums, where he had resided for the past few years.
Born in Galicia, Spain, March 24, 1931, he was the son of the late Raimundo and Aquilina (Sestayo) Ventoso and spent the past 16 years in Sugarloaf, after moving from Brooklyn, NY.
Frank was a retired Conductor for the NYC Transit Authority. He was a US Army Veteran during the Korean War. He was a member of Ss. Peter & Paul's RC Church, Brooklyn. He enjoyed traveling, watching television and spending time with his nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by his brother Raymond Ventoso.
Surviving are a sister-in-law Maria Ventoso, Brooklyn, NY; two nieces Susan Mihalopoulos and her husband Jason, Sugarloaf; and Sandra Sarcinella and her husband Jay, Scarsdale, NY; and a nephew Raymond Ventoso and his wife Niki, Brooklyn, NY.
His funeral will be held Tuesday at 8 pm from Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc. (East) 669 W. Butler Drive, Drums. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6 pm until the time of the service. Burial will take place Wednesday at 1 pm in St. Charles' Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY.
