Frank Sanko Obituary

Frank Nicholas Sanko, 70, of Barnesville, passed away Monday evening, May 31, 2021 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Wilkes Barre, following a lengthy illness.

Born in Hazleton, March 8, 1951, he was the son of the late Charles and Anna (Mowery) Sanko and spent the past 12 years in Barnesville, after moving from Freeland.

Frank was a Tractor Trailer Truck Driver for 25 years and was the Building Manager for the Altamont Building for 17 years.  He was a Us Army Veteran and a member of the Catholic faith.  He was also an avid outdoorsman and member of the Black Creek Sportsmans Club.

He was preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by his wife Debra (Radtke) Sanko,     who passed away June 19, 2020; and a brother Charles Sanko Jr.

Surviving are a daughter Melissa Hague and her husband Timothy, Freehold, NJ; two step-daughters Danielle Woodring, Conyngham; and Erica Quinones and her wife Erica, Colorado Springs, CO; a brother Andrew Sanko and his wife Irene Sanko; and a sister Mary Lloyd, all of Sugarloaf; five grandchildren Aidan, Owen, Lily, Eva, and Jocelyn; many nieces and nephews, whom he adored, and his pet dogs Tundra and Rosie. Frank was loved very much by all. 

His funeral will be held Friday at 9:30 am from Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc. (East) 669 W. Butler Drive, Drums, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. John Bosco RC Church, 573 State Route 93, Sugarloaf.  Burial will follow in Red Rock Cemetery, Sugarloaf.  Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday evening 6-8 pm.
