Frank Eugene Cistaro, 69, of Hazleton, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday afternoon, June 10, 2025, at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Hazleton.
Born in Elizabeth, NJ, September 11, 1955, he was the son of the late August and Carmen (Santa Maria) Cistaro.
Frank graduated from Thomas A. Edison Career and Technical Academy, Elizabeth, NJ. He was a route salesman for Entenmann's Cake, Little Falls Township, NJ. He was a member of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Sheppton. Frank was an avid sports fan who loved the Yankees, Jets, Knicks, and Rangers. He was very friendly, the life of the party and always wanted everyone to have a good time. Frank loved listening to Led Zeppelin, bicycling, running, and spending time in his hot tub.
He was preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by his step-son, Justin Bara.
Surviving are his loving wife, the former Diane Chunka; five children, Ashleigh Barnard and her husband Rob, Watchung, NJ; Eric Cistaro and his wife Tracey, Mount Olive, NJ; Rachel Sturges, Canton, NY; Chelsea Bara, Ridgewood, NJ; and Travis Bara and his wife Burcu, Berkeley Heights, NJ; five grandsons, Toby, Nate, James, Liam, and Aiden; two sisters, Patty O'Hara, and Sandra DeLaura and her husband Dominick; two brothers, John and Marcus Cistaro; and many nieces and nephews including Kim, Courtney, and DeeDee.
His funeral will be held with a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM in St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, 14 E Oak St., Sheppton, PA 18248. Interment will take place privately at the convenience of his family. Friends may call at the church on Saturday morning from 10 AM until the time of the Mass.
