Francis J. Bayait, 75, of Hazle Township, passed away early Tuesday morning, September 21, 2021, with his loving wife and daughter by his side at his residence in Eagle Rock after battling 6 years with myelofibrosis.
Born in Morristown, NJ, he was the son of the late Albert and Sarah (McShane) Bayait and spent the past 6 years in Eagle Rock after moving from Roxbury Township, New Jersey.
Francis was a pharmacist and Director of Pharmacy for (47) years at Morristown Medical Center, Morristown, NJ; having retired in 2011. During his college years at Rutgers School of Pharmacy he was a member of Kappa Psi (Professional Pharmaceutical Fraternity), Chapter OMEGA and graduated Summa Cum Laude. He was also a graduate of Long Island University where he earned his Masters degree. He was a US Army veteran, stationed in France and Germany. Frank loved to cook and was a wine connoisseur. He loved spending time and traveling with his family. He enjoyed fishing with his brothers, learning new languages and hobbies, working around his home, as well as bowling, golfing, and bocce.
He was preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by a sister Mary (Fackino); brothers Albert and Patrick Bayait; and sister-in-law Agnes Bayait.
Surviving are his loving wife of 38 years, Diane; his favorite daughter, Shannon Bayait, Hazle Twp.; step-son, Granville Brady and his wife Darlene Pearson, Nanuet, NY; a brother, Arthur Bayait and his wife Theresa, East Hanover, NJ; sister-in-law, Kathleen Bayait, Hillsborough, NJ; and several nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
His Irish Wake Memorial honoring his life, as well as the joy and laughter he brought everyone, will be held at a future date and time to be announced.
