Evelyn June (Bennett) Zubick

Evelyn June Zubick, of Hazleton, passed away early Thursday morning, September 5, 2024 at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Cedar Crest in Allentown, following a lengthy battle with cancer.

Born in Hazleton on August 21 she was the daughter of the late Walter C. Bennett and Wilma (Corra) Devaney and spent the past 50 plus years in the Hazleton area.

Evelyn was a Tech Service Administrator at Henkel Corp, Valmont until her retirement.  She was a member of the Byzantine Catholic Faith.  She loved going camping at Counsel Cup, watching her grandson's hockey games and gardening.

She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents by her brother, Alfred Bennet; and sister, Barbara Francissi.

Surviving are her two sons, Stephen Zubick, Jr. and his wife Wendy, Drums; and David Zubick, Scottsdale, AZ; two grandchildren, Tyler and Nathan Zubick, Drums; five siblings, Walter Bennett, Shenandoah; Cleoria Campodinco and her husband Michael, Saylorsburg; David Bennett and his wife Michele, Tyler, TX; Terri Ann Chivers and her husband Paul, Drums; and Raymond Spallone and his wife Lisa; Freeland; sister-in-law Donna Bennet, Hazleton; companion, Francis Bunk, Hazleton; former husband, Stephen Zubick, Sr. and his wife Laura, Hazleton; and many nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be held with a Memorial Service on Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at 6 PM from Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc. (East), 669 West Butler Drive, Drums.   Interment will take place privately at the convenience of the family.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5PM until the time of the service.
