Evelyn Rossi, 85, formerly of Drums, passed away Tuesday evening, October 24, 2023, at Smith Health Care Center in Mountain Top.
Born in Hazleton, June 4, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Anna (Rebarchak) Dusick and spent the past six years in Mountain Top, after moving from Drums.
Evelyn was a loving mother and homemaker for many years and had also worked at many different factories in the Hazleton area including Chromatex, Sentinel, and Cambridge. She was a member of Good Shepherd Roman Catholic Church, Drums. Evelyn loved spending time with her family and taking trips to Atlantic City's casinos with her mother-in-law and visiting her son in Florida.
She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her husband Sylvester Rossi, who passed away August 7, 2011; brothers Joseph, Rudolph, and Paul Dusick; and sisters, Arlene Seratch, Leona Adams, and Betty Polashenski.
Surviving are four children, Paul Rossi, Drums; Sharon Lizbinski and husband Louis, Drums; Michele Yenchick and husband George, Drums; and son Lance Rossi and wife Jasmin, Melbourne, FL; grandchildren, Louis E. Lizbinski and wife Gabrielle, Drums; Jessica Vito and husband Lou, Hazleton; and Eric Lizbinski and wife Melissa, Douglassville, six great-grandchildren, Isabella, Nash, Isla, Ace, Caleb, and Nolan Lizbinski; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Bruce and Marie Rossi, SC; and sisters-in-law, Helen and Dorothy Maylath, Hazleton; and many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held with a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, October 30, 2023, at 10 AM in Good Shepherd RC Church, 87 S. Hunter Highway, Drums. Entombment will follow Calvary RC Cemetery, Drums. Friends may call at the church on Monday morning from 9AM until the time of the Mass. Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc. (East), 669 W. Butler Drive, Drums, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
