Esther DeBias, 96, a resident of The Laurels Senior Living Community, and formerly of Tresckow, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 23, 2020.
Born in Beaver Meadows, July 7, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Fiorello and Emma (Polli) Fellin and spent most of her life in Tresckow.
Esther was a Homemaker for most of her life. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Hazleton. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother, who was much loved by her family.
She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her husband Michael A. DeBias, who passed away January 14, 1998; son-in-law Joseph F. Lettiere, Jr.; sisters and brothers Ellen Enama, Irene Marcolina, Regina Rigotti, Rev. Joseph H. Fellin, and Fiore Fellin. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Surviving are three daughters Julie Clark, Conyngham; Marie Lettiere, Tresckow; and Melanie Brown and her husband David, Mountain Top; five grandchildren Joe Clark, Janine Schwartz, Joe Lettiere, Alyssa and Michael Brown; five great-grandchildren Jenna, Jason, and Amanda Clark, Eric and Alex Schwartz; a son-in-law Joe Clark; and several nieces and nephews.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, her funeral will be held with a private Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Rosary R.C. Church, Hazleton Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Drums.
