Elsie Lorraine (Spencer) Stevick

Elsie Lorraine (Spencer) Stevick passed away peacefully in her sleep, after an extended illness on March 15th in Olney, Maryland at the age of 85. She was born on August 22, 1939, and graduated from Hazleton High School in 1957.

She moved to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania shortly after to begin work as a Bell Telephone Switchboard Operator. She retired after thirty years of service as a Supervisor with Verizon.

She met her husband, Robert Stevick, in Harrisburg and they were married in Hazleton, Pennsylvania in 1963. Together they built their life and eventually moved to Olney, Maryland where they lived the remainder of their lives. Elsie was an active member in her church, a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America as well as an active member in the community. She was a loving Aunt to her nieces and nephews and enjoyed spending time with them. She was also an accomplished painter and that was one of her main hobbies. She was a very giving person who will be missed by family and friends.

She is survived by her husband Robert Stevick in Olney, Maryland and two brothers Elwood Spencer who lives in Hazleton, Pennsylvania and Bill Spencer who resides in Davenport, Florida, as well as several nieces and nephews.

A Graveside service will be held Saturday March 22, 2025 at 11:00 AM in Mt Grove Cemetery, Mt Grove, Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc 1265 Rock Glen Road, Rock Glen is assisting the family with the arrangements.
