Elenor Theresa (Schiefer) Buchman

Elenor T Buchman passed away peacefully at Kadima of Luzerne, on Friday evening following a lengthy illness.

Born in Nuremberg, February 24, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Bertha (Nicolodi) Schiefer and resided in the family home. She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her husband of 56 years, Frank T Buchman, a son Frank Buchman, Jr., a brother Edward Schiefer and his wife Katherine Schiefer (Teter).

Elenor was a loving mother. Also, a master quilter who gifted many of her beautiful works of art to family and friends. Her generous and caring nature touched many and will be greatly missed.

Surviving are a daughter Sylvia Hovanec and her husband Frank; sons Michael and his wife Bambi, and Nicholas and his wife Heather, a daughter-in-law Jacquie Buchman, five grandchildren, a brother Douglass Schiefer and his wife Diane (Baker) Schiefer, a sister Florence Ann (Schiefer) Mathews and her husband Thomas, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Interment will be private with a Requiem Mass to be announced in the future. Memorial donations may be made to Nuremberg-Weston Fire Company 459 Hazle Street, Sugarloaf, PA 18249.
