Edward Brestowski

Edward Brestowski, 84, of Nuremberg, passed away Thursday morning, January 16, 2025, at his residence in Nuremberg, following a lengthy illness.

Born in Tomhicken, March 15, 1940, he was the son of the late Andrew and Catherine (Tobias) Brestowski, Sr. and spent the past 60 years in Nuremberg, after moving from Lawton, OK; after completing his service in the Army.

Edward was employed as Steel Worker for Summit Manufacturing, Valmont. He was a US Army veteran during the Vietnam Conflict, having served from 1963 to 1965. He was a member of the Shenandoah Fish and Game Club, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and American Legion Post #699, Nuremberg.  Ed enjoyed fishing with his son, yard sales and auctions.

He was preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by his loving wife, the former Mary Ann Lopez; his son, Joseph Edward Brestowski; brothers, Eugene, Leo, Jacob R., and Andrew Brestowski, Jr.; and sisters, Cecelia Brestowski, Marie Fisher, Frances Kassick, and Irene Catherine Janeczek.

Surviving are his son, Mark Brestowski, Nuremberg; two grandchildren, Timothy Joseph Brestowski, TX; Bethany Ashley Brestowski, Berwick; a brother, Robert "Chip" Brestowski and his wife Sandy, Drums; and many nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be held Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at 9:30 AM from Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc. (West), 1265 Rock Glen Road, Rock Glen, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in Sacred Heart R.C. Church, Weston. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6-8 pm.
