Dwight D. Eisenhower, 77, of Hazle Township, passed away Saturday morning, July 10, 2021 at his home following a sudden illness.
Born in Conyngham, May 27, 1944, he was the son of the late Raymond and Mabel (Ravert) Eisenhower and spent the past 50 years in Hazle Township.
Dwight was a Baker for Spalding Bakery and also worked at Lobitz Catering, Hazleton. He was of Lutheran Faith. He was a simple man who loved his family and providing for them. He enjoyed fishing and car racing in his spare time.
He was preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by his brothers Howard, James, Kenneth, and Oliver Eisenhower, and a sister Gladys Hricak.
Surviving are his loving wife, Mae (Reader) Eisenhower to whom he was married on October 5, 1968 in Conyngham; a son Dwight D. Eisenhower, Jr. and his wife Deborah, Drums; daughter Lewella Finnegan and her husband Terrance of Ashley, PA; three step-grandchildren, eight step-great-grandchildren, one step-great-great-granddaughter, a brother Clarence Eisenhower and his wife Susan, Conyngham; and many nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held Friday, July 16, 2021 at 1 PM in Bethel Hill Cemetery, 15 Saxe Rd, Sweet Valley, PA 18656. Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc. (East), 669 W. Butler Drive, Drums, is assisting the family with arrangements.
