Donna J. (Moler) Smith

Donna J. Smith, 71, of Drums, passed away, Saturday morning, April 12, 2025, surrounded by her loving family at her home in Drums, following a year-long illness.

Born in Tiffin, OH, December 14, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Moler and Dolores (Plott) Kennedy and spent the past 50 years in Drums, after moving from Syracuse, OH.

Donna graduated from Syracuse High School in the Class of 1971. She worked as a Dietary Manager at LVHN Hazleton, where she dedicated many years of service. A devoted member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in St. John's, Donna was also a lifelong member and Auxiliary Treasurer of VFW Post #821 in Berwick, as well as an active member of Valley Regional Fire and Rescue in Drums.  In her free time, Donna enjoyed reading, traveling to Lancaster and Hilton Head, South Carolina, and relaxing on beach vacations with her family. She loved going on cruises with her husband and cherished spending time socializing—whether it was catching up with friends or simply enjoying a quiet evening in good company. Her greatest joy, however, was being with her family and grandchildren, especially during summer afternoons spent picnicking by the pool.

Surviving are her loving husband of 48 years, Kenneth W. Smith, to whom she was married on July 16, 1977; three sons, Todd Smith and his wife Denise, Drums; Jason Smith and his wife Belinda, Berwick; and Chad Smith and his wife Tracey; Drums; ten grandchildren, Brittany and Haley Smith, Drums; Brandi Mussoline and her husband Josh, Drums; Colyn and Jayce Smith, Drums; Brittany Winder, Drums; Nicholas Williams, Marlton, NJ; and Makenna Williams, Drums; Rebecca Fish, Berwick; Brian Ohl, Berwick; four great-grandchildren, Caden and Brady Winder, Roman Mussoline, and Michael Ohl; a brother, Anthony Moler and his wife Chris, Sycamore, OH; a sister, Gina Wren, Marcellus, OH; sister-in-law, Patricia Starrett, Salisbury, NC; and several nieces and nephews.
 

Her funeral will be held with a Memorial Service on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at 7 PM from Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc. (East), 669 W. Butler Drive, Drums. Interment will take place privately at the convenience of her family.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday afternoon from 4 PM until the time of the service.
