Donna Marie (Mehalick) Gulash

Donna M. Gulash, a lifelong resident of Oneida, passed away on May 7, 2023, following a brief battle with glioblastoma. She was 69.

She was born in Hazleton on January 7, 1954, to George A. Mehalick and Helen (Soda) Mehalick. After graduating from Bloomsburg University, she taught kindergarten and first grade in the Hazleton Area School District for 38 years. After her retirement in 2013, she enjoyed gardening, travel, reading, and spending time with friends and family. She was an active member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Sheppton.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 24 years, Thomas Gulash; her father, George A. Mehalick; and an infant sister, Joan Ann Mehalick.

She is survived by her daughter, Jessica M. Gulash and her wife, Julie A. Dees, Bala Cynwyd; her mother, Helen Mehalick, Oneida; a brother, David Mehalick, Oneida; and many cousins and friends.

Her funeral will be held Saturday, May 13, 2023, at 10:15 AM, from Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc. (East), 669 West Butler Drive, Drums, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM at in St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 14 East Oak Street, Sheppton.  Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
