Donald R. "Pete" Nenstiel, 73, of Weston, passed away Saturday morning, December 10, 2022 at his residence.
Born in Hazleton, May 3, 1949, he was the son of the late Robert and Marie (Fickner) Nenstiel and spent the past 38 years in Weston, after moving from Zion Grove.
Pete was a Heavy Equipment Operator for International Union of Operating Engineers Local 542. He was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Nuremberg and the Bucks Mountain Hunting Club. He enjoyed hunting and auto racing, but most of all loved spending time with his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by a brother Robert Nenstiel, Jr.
Surviving are his wife of the past 45 years, the former Jane Troy; four children, Sherri Dombrosky and her husband Bob, Shenandoah; Pete Nenstiel and his wife Chris, Telford; Roger Nenstiel and his wife Amy, Zion Grove; and Rebekah Nenstiel and her companion T.J. Zilko, NC; six grandchildren, Aaron, Josh, Maddie, Hayley, Hayden, and George; a brother, Thomas Nenstiel and his wife June, Sheppton; a sister-in-law, Johanna Nenstiel, Zion Grove; also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held with a Memorial Service on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at 11 AM from Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc. (West), 1265 Rock Glen Road, Rock Glen. Interment will follow in Nuremberg Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday morning from 10 AM until the time of service.
