Diana Lee Dallachiesa, 70, of Nuremberg, passed away Sunday, June 13, 2021 at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Cedar Crest, Allentown. She passed surrounded by her loving family, following a lengthy illness.
Born in Pequest, NJ, March 5, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Bart and Betty (Yerkes) James. She spent the past 31 years in Nuremberg, after moving from Hazleton.
Diana was schooled at PS-139, Brooklyn, NY from Kindergarten through 10th grade. She attended Erasmus High School in Brooklyn. Her family moved back to Belvidere, NJ and she graduated from Belvidere High School in 1969. She was a Teacher's Aide and volunteer at Immanuel Christian School, Hazleton for over 20 years. She had also previously worked at Central Electric and Holiday Inn, Hazleton. She also cleaned houses for several elderly and disabled folks in the Hazleton Area. She was a member of Grace Fellowship Church, Hazleton, since 1974 and taught Sunday School there for 35 years. She enjoyed being a wife, mother, homemaker, and teacher. She especially loved raising and teaching kids and learning about God's word in fellowship with others.
She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by a brother Larry "Butch" James; and a granddaughter Lucia Grace Kotsko.
Surviving are her husband, Douglas, to whom she was married on May 5, 1990; six children: Dr. Jude Kotsko and his wife Dr. Raegan Kotsko, Derek Kotsko, Brandon Kotsko and his wife Jennifer, Jay Kotsko and his wife Brenda, Adam Kotsko, Dr. Lauren Dallachiesa; 18 grandchildren; three brothers Joseph James and his wife Marianne, Richard James, and Bart James; a sister Betty Ann Denker and her husband Dave; and several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held Friday at 11 am from Grace Fellowship Church, 27 Pecora Road, Hazleton. Burial will follow in Nuremberg Cemetery. Friends may call at the church Friday morning from 10 am until the time of the service.
