Denise Saraceno, 68, of Drums, passed away Sunday afternoon, June 23, 2024, at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Hazleton surrounded by her loving family following a seventeen-year battle with breast cancer.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, August 9, 1955, she was the daughter of the late Harlow R. and Janet J. (Danna) Hotchkiss and spent the past three years in Drums, after moving from Staten Island.
Denise was an Administrative Assistant for AIG Insurance Co. in New York, NY. She was a very religious person and was a member of Good Shepherd RC Church, Drums. After retirement Denise moved with her husband to Drums where she loved taking care of her new home, watching the 700 Club, feeding the birds, gardening, watering her plants and flowers, and sitting on her front porch enjoying time with her family.
Surviving are her loving husband of almost 50 years, Lawrence Saraceno; two sons, Larry Saraceno, Jr. and his wife Daniella, Brass Castle, NJ; and Victor Saraceno and his wife Christine Gallagher, Drums; six grandchildren, Austin, Brook Lyn, Savannah, Victor Jr., Gianna, and Michael; four great-grandchildren, Izabella, Lilianna, Grayson, and Rowan; two sisters, her twin, Debra Muzio; and Cindy Semendoff, both of Staten Island, NY; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc. (East), 669 West Butler Drive, Drums, on Thursday evening, June 27, 2024, from 6 PM to 8 PM and on Friday morning, June 28, 2024 from 9 AM to 11 AM. Her funeral will be held at 11 AM from the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM in Good Shepherd RC Church, 87 S. Hunter Highway, Drums. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery RC Cemetery, Drums.
