Daniel James Santangelo, 70, of Wapwallopen, passed from our earth Sunday, December 21, 2025, to meet our Lord and Savior he served so faithfully.
Born in Hazleton, May 24, 1955, he was the son of the late Michael and Freda (Drasher) Santangelo and spent the past three years in Wapwallopen, after moving from Malvern. He lived the first 40 years of his life in the Hazleton area and was very happy to move back to the area.
Daniel retired from Great Valley School District in 2017. He was a member and Elder of The Church of Christ with the Elijah Message, Independence MO. In his spare time, he enjoyed keeping tropical fish, especially Black Bar Endlers. He was also an avid animal lover who adored caring for his cats and visiting his daughter and son-in-laws cats and dogs as well.
Surviving are his daughter, Tara Santangelo Diehl and husband Charles, York; a sister, Arlene Smith and husband Roger, Brentwood, TN; a brother, Robert Santangelo, Syracuse, NY; and nieces and nephews.
As per Daniel's wishes all services will be held privately at the convenience of his family. Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc. (East), 669 W. Butler Dr., Drums is assisting the family with the arrangements.
