Daneille Pinto Obituary

Daneille L. Pinto, 62, of Sugarloaf, passed away Friday, April 18, 2025, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center in Wilkes Barre, following a two-month battle with cancer.

Born in Hazleton, September 1, 1962, she was the daughter of the late George "Toots" and Sophie (Popovich) Anthony, and spent the past 38 years in Sugarloaf.

Daneille was a graduate of Hazleton Area High School Class of 1980.  She was employed as a Supervisor for the White Haven Center for 17 years, having retired in early 2024.  She was an auxiliary member of VFW Post #8161, Conyngham.  Daneille was passionate in donating her time and resources to fundraising for the VALOR Clinic Foundation which helps homeless veterans.  She loved to feed and watch wildlife, garden, take trips to the beach, and play bingo.

She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her loving husband, Anthony Joseph Pinto, Sr.

Surviving are her son, Stephen Dancho, Jr. and his wife Andrea, Sugarloaf; three brothers, Delmar Anthony; Danube Anthony and his wife Lorraine, and Damon Anthony and his husband Cicero Oca; two nieces, Amy Beth Anthony and Allison Anthony and her partner Nick Marsicano, all of Drums.

Her funeral will be held privately at the convenience of her family.  Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc. (East), 669 W. Butler Drive, Drums, is assisting the family with the cremation.
