Cynthia Jo Johnson, 60, of Hazleton, passed away Monday evening, January 18, 2021 at her home, following a one-year illness.

Born in Honolulu, HI, June 21, 1960, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Hazel (Johnson) Johnson, Sr. and spent the past 25 years in Hazleton, after moving from Philadelphia.

Cynthia had worked for the former Continental Can, Valmont.  She enjoyed riding her scooter, walking her support dog, Juniper, trips to the Casino, and traveling to the beach.

She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by brothers Michael, Robert Jr., and  David Johnson, and a nephew Paul Johnson.

Surviving are her partner of the past nine years, Rose Ann "Roe" Wersinger; a sister Teresa Mergo and her husband David, Ashley; a brother John Johnson, Pittsburgh; three nephews Edward Johnson, Ringtown; Robert Johnson, Allentown; and Paul David Lehman, Boca Raton, FL.

All services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.  Memorial donations may be made to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention at afsp.donordrive.com.
