Clara T. Manjone, 100, of Weston, passed away Thursday evening, January 4, 2024, at the Pavilion at St. Luke Village in Hazleton where she had resided for the past two months, under the loving care and kindness of the second floor Nurses and Aides.
Born in Harwood Mines, March 21, 1923, she was the daughter of the late John and Anna (Matonis) Cherko and spent the past 75 years in Weston after moving from Harwood.
Clara was a seamstress for several local garment factories retiring from Jebbon Mfg in Weston. She was a member of Sacred Heart RC Church, Weston. She was also a member of The Weston Athletic Assoc and the Nuremberg-Weston Fire Company.
Above all interests, She was a mother and wife from the beginning of her marriage in 1948 to the very end of her time just a few days ago. Dedicated to the welfare of her family, she had no demands for herself, would be no burden to others, always ready to do what needed to be done. She will be deeply missed by her family.
She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her husband Richard G. Manjone and her daughter Michele Bolinsky who both passed in 2007, and all of her five brothers and three sisters.
Surviving are her son Richard A. Manjone and his wife Cindy, Weston, a son-in-law James A. Bolinsky, Beaver Twp, niece Ann Marsillio; two grandchildren, Jennifer Hunsinger and husband Andrew, Catawissa, and Josh Manjone and his wife Brigada, Marshfield, MA; four great-grandchildren, Nathan and Nicolas Hunsinger, Liliana and Gabriella Manjone, and step-grandchildren, Sabrina Lilja, and Jacob and Julia Buckner, Kennett square, pa and many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday, January 9, 2024, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in Sacred Heart R.C. Church, Weston. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart RC Cemetery. Friends may call Monday evening from 6-8 PM at Harman Funeral Home (West), 1265 Rock Glen Road, Rock Glen and at the Church on Tuesday morning from 9:30 until the time of Mass.
