Charlotte A. Shafer, 78, of Nuremberg, passed away Tuesday morning, March 8, 2022 at her home following a lengthy illness.
Born in Bloomsburg, April 6, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Clara (Borchik) Keszkowski and spent the past 50 years in Nuremberg, after moving from Bloomsburg.
Charlotte was a Production Worker for Office Max, Humboldt Industrial Park, and also Harbor Electronics. She had also previously worked as a Cook for the Hazleton Area School District; Brior's Restaurant, Rock Glen; and Ground Round, West Hazleton. She was a member of Sacred Heart RC Church, Weston and the church choir. She enjoyed cooking, attending her grandchildren's activities, and reading.
She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her husband, William who passed away November 24, 2018; and a great-grandson Bentley Matthew Shafer, May 14, 2020.
Surviving are three children William and his companion Dawn Sabatos, Sugarloaf; Jeannette Barron and her husband John, Drums; and David and his wife Jessica, Drums; seven grandchildren Gregory, Bethany, Emily, Katie, Anna, Bo, and Bella; a great-grandchild Karter; three brothers Stanley Keszkowski and his wife Linda, Bloomsburg; John Keszkowski, Bloomsburg; and Gregory Keszkowski and his wife Nancy, MIllville; and several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held Monday, March 14, 2022 at 10 am with a Mass of Christian Burial in Sacred Heart RC Church, 554 Main Street, Weston. Friends may call at the church Monday morning from 9 am until the time of the Mass. Interment will take place privately at the convenience of the family.
