Carol "Tootsie" H. Bolinsky, 89, of Bloomsburg, passed away Monday morning, March 2, 2026, at The Bartley Healthcare Nursing and Rehabilitation in Jackson, NJ.
Born in Beaver Twp, December 25, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Yutko and Anna (Zapach) Plafcan-Yutko and spent the past 30 years in Bloomsburg, after moving from Englishtown, NJ.
Tootsie was a greenhouse worker at Carchesio Farms in Englishtown, NJ. She was a member of Sacred Heart RC Church, Weston. In her free time, Carol enjoyed traveling, knitting, crocheting, embroidery and making Afghan blankets.
She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her devoted husband, Walter "Bo" Bolinsky who passed away August 17, 2010; four brothers, Edward and Nicholas Plafcan and Joseph and Larry Yutko; and two sisters, Theresa Weitzel and Catherine Ziller.
Surviving are her son, Daniel Bolinsky, Bloomsburg; two grandchildren, Shawn Bolinsky and wife Kristin, Jackson, NJ; and Karissa Sokich, Summerville, SC; four great-grandchildren, Julia and Shawn Bolinsky, and Niko and Austin Sokich, a brother, Michael Plafcan, Tomhicken; and several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held Sunday, March 8, 2026 at 2PM from Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc. (West), 1265 Rock Glen Road, Rock Glen. Burial will take place privately in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 12:30 PM until the time of the service.
