Carl Herring Obituary

Carl E. "Fest" Herring, 69, of Zion Grove, passed away Tuesday afternoon, October 5, 2021 at his home following a lengthy illness.

Born in Ringtown, October 23, 1951, he was the son of the late John and Grace (Zimmerman) Herring and had spent most of his life in Zion Grove.

Carl was a retired highway construction worker for many years. He rode a Harley Panhead motorcycle since he was a teenager and loved being out on the open road. He was also a loving and doting grandfather to his two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by a brother Jack Herring.

Surviving are his loving wife of the past 49 years, the former Debra Edwards; two sons Travis, Zion Grove; and Cole, Kingston; two grandchildren Zane, and Vera; a sister Joan Boehmer and her husband David, Zion Grove; a sister Linda Pavlick, Hazleton; and several nieces and nephews including John Herring, Jr. and wife Georgette, Zion Grove.

All services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
