Carl A. DeFederico, 82, of Eagle Rock Resort & Golf, Hazleton, passed away Saturday morning, September 30, 2023, at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Cedar Crest in Allentown, surrounded by his family.
Born in Port Reading, NJ, on November 10, 1940, he was the son of the late Pasquale and Filomina (Verdinelli) DeFederico and lived in Port Reading, NJ for 38 years. He then moved to Neshanic Station, NJ for 25 years before moving to Eagle Rock Resort & Golf, Hazleton where he resided with his wife for 20 years.
Carl retired from FMC Corporation, Carteret, NJ as the Maintenance Coordinator and Emergency Coordinator in 1999. He was a member of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Sheppton. Carl was actively involved in several committees at Eagle Rock and past Chairman of the Greens Committee. His passion for family, friends, and golf are part of his legacy.
He was preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by his brothers, Thomas and Pat DeFederico, and a sister, Isabel Banko.
Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Francine (Nemeth) DeFederico; his sons, David A. DeFederico and wife Jennifer, Flemington, NJ; and Mark F. DeFederico and his wife Anne, Eagle Rock; a sister Ann Floersch, Sayreville, NJ; three grandchildren, Clarissa, Samantha, and Noah DeFederico; as well as several nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held Thursday, October 5, 2023, at 11 AM from Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc. (East), 669 W. Butler Drive, Drums with Father Dominic Pham officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday morning from 9:30 AM until the time of the service.
