Bruce Ellsworth Minnig

Bruce E. Minnig, 67, passed away Tuesday, May 25, 2021. Born September 13, 1953 Bruce lived near Bloomsburg with his wife of 49 years June Minnig. He was the son of the late Dolores Elizabeth (Christ) and Ellsworth Paul Minnig.

In addition to his parents, Bruce was also preceded in death by his brother Dave Minnig. He had six other siblings including Judie and husband Lafayette Fichter, Drums PA, Ken and wife Pat Minnig, Davie FL, Cathy and husband Gary Brooks, Mill Spring, NC, Carol Nothstein, Columbia NC and his twin brother, Brian Minnig, Jupiter, FL. In addition to his siblings, Bruce was a proud uncle to 35 nieces and nephews.

He is survived by his wife and two sons, Matthew and his wife Kristin of Ithaca NY and Michael and his wife Sherry of Bloomsburg. Bruce enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his three grandchildren, Megan, Molly and Miller.

Born in Hazleton PA, Bruce was a graduate of West Hazleton High School, class of 1971. A natural talent for solving puzzles and technical aptitude lead him to a career in engineering. His professional travels allowed him to enjoy a world full of amazing cuisine and equally unique stories to share. He retired last year after working 34 years with Hunter Panels, a division of Carlisle SynTec, formerly NRG Barriers. The additional time allowed him to explore his creativity in glass working, tend to his household gardens, and be a devoted grandfather. His sense of humor and especially the sound of his laughter will be sincerely missed.

His funeral will be held with a Memorial Service on Monday, June 7, 2021 at 6pm from Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc. (West), 1265 Rock Glen Road, Rock Glen.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday evening from 5 pm until the time of the service.  Interment will take place privately at the convenience of the family.
