Bonnie Kay Whitebread, 77, of Sugarloaf, passed away Sunday morning, July 20, 2025, at her residence in Sugarloaf, following a sudden illness.
Born in Berwick, March 23, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Arnold Lutz and Laura (Whitebread) Roberts and spent the past eight years in Sugarloaf, after moving from Drums.
Bonnie was a Home Health Aide for Mentor Group Home, Drums. She was the first female Certified Mechanic in Pennsylvania. Bonnie was a member of St. John Bosco RC Church, Sugarloaf. Bonnie loved taking care of her dog Molly and bird Tweety Pie.
She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her brother, Arnold Lutz.
Surviving are a sister, Helen James and husband Robert, Drums; nephew, Jason James, Sugarloaf; great-nephew, Brayden James; great-niece, Skylar James; an aunt, Fern Smith, Berwick; a close friend/step-sister, Donna; and several cousins and extended family.
Her funeral will be held with a Memorial Service on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at 7 PM from Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc. (East), 669 W. Butler Dr., Drums. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 5 PM to 7PM. Interment will take place privately at the convenience of her family.
