Bonnie H. Adams, 77, of Rock Glen, passed away early Tuesday morning, June 16, 2026, at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, following a brief illness.
Born in Rock Glen, August 23, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Earl L. and Edna (Welsh) Myers, Sr. and had spent most of her life in Rock Glen.
Bonnie was a 1967 graduate of West Hazleton High School. She was employed as a supervisor for 15 years at Orloski's Quik Mart and Unimart, LLC, and as a supervisor for 18 years at Hickory Farms Stores and was the first female Black Creek Township Supervisor, having served from 2004 to 2022. She was a member of Trinity UCC, Rock Glen and a member of their consistory. She was also a founding member of the Black Creek Twp. Recreational Committee and was on the Board of Trustees of the Nuremberg Public Library. Bonnie loved being with her family and hosting the holidays and family functions. She loved to go swimming, read, go on trips to the beach and take day trips to Lancaster.
She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her seven brothers, Harvey Welsh, Joel, Kenny, Earl, Jr, Frank, George Allen, and Eugene Myers, Sr, and three sisters, Margaret Force, Susanne Piasecki, and Rosemary Palesky.
Surviving are her devoted husband of 58 years, Raymond John Adams, to whom she was married on April 15, 1968; two children, Raymond Michael Adams and wife Michelle, Rock Glen; and Christine Marion Koviack, Rock Glen; four grandchildren, Raymond John Adams, II, Rock Glen; Brianna Adams, Rock Glen; Rebecca Koviack, Rock Glen; and Sarah Koviack, MD; great-granddaughter, Reign Adams, Catawissa; sister and best friend, Kay Riotto and husband Joseph, Rock Glen; and many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held with a Memorial Service on Friday, July 3, 2026, at 7 PM in Trinity United Church of Christ, 1288 Mountain Street, Rock Glen, PA 18246. Interment will take place privately in Mt. Grove Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to a Memorial Visitation at the Church on Friday from 5:30 PM until the time of the service. Harman Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc. (East), 669 West Butler Dr, Drums, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
