Blane W. Evans, 68, of Conyngham, passed away early Wednesday morning, July 29, 2020, at his residence following a two-month illness.
Born in Hazleton, May 15, 1952, he was the son of the late Sterling and Ruth (Walp) Evans and spent the past 46 years in Conyngham, after moving from Hazleton.
Blane was a contract U.S. Mail Truck Driver and was a member of Christ UCC Church, Conyngham. He enjoyed playing golf, fishing, camping, and spending time with his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by his loving wife, the former Ann Warg who passed away November 28, 2012; and a brother Wayne Evans and his wife Jane.
Surviving are two sons, Jason Evans and his wife Amy, Freeland; and Steven Evans; Conyngham; two grandsons Caden and Zachary Evans; four brother-in-laws, several nieces and one nephew.
A memorial service will be held at 1PM on Thursday, August 6, 2020, from Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc. (East), 669 W. Butler Dr., Drums. Burial will follow Conyngham Union Cemetery, Conyngham. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday afternoon from 12PM until the time of the service.
